We played golf on Saturday on a drizzly, chilly day that also brought out the best of what our association and our golf course is about.  We had 79 people come play and truly enjoyed the gloriousness of this season and the love that comes with it.  Golf was secondary – although golf was definitely played. Thank you all who braved and enjoyed the day.

We had a winner.  Some guy named Jason Steiner, his dad Jack, playing his first round since shoulder surgery and his mom, Karen along with Uncle Pieter DeGraaf shot a great 59 that tied two other teams at that mark.  With tie breaker rules, they became champs of the tournament.   59 is a great score in this event since we don’t have super teams and congrats to all who shot that score.

Well, we did have a DFL Team too.  The team of Dylan Bellinger, Chris Taylor, Joe Marigliano and Rod Taylor shot a respectable 69 that still was 3 under par but finished last.  I will say, that as a group, they were probably the second best dressed team and we thank them for playing.  You can see them in the pics as 4 guys all Christmased up.  All teams broke 70 for the day.  That’s actually pretty good.

Our best dress were as follows – the men’s prize should just be renamed the Dan Page Award as Dan killed it with his get up this year – as usual.  The two sisters of Jean Carter and Marie Paul are co-winners for the ladies award and well deserved.  Their sister Mary Ann Brown could also be thrown in here.   The team of Dan Page, Dayton Rugg, Jean Carter and Marie Paul were the best (or worst) dressed foursome

Fort Mill Care Center – we collected 504 lbs of food and paper good for the Fort Mill Care Center.  You are all so very awesome !!!

On behalf of myself, the board and officers of the FMMGA, we wish you and your families the holiest, happiest and Merriest Christmas season ever.  It's not what we get but what we give.  This group with what you all give is special and I can tell you what I receive is so much love and pride to be part of this.  God Bless you all and Merry Christmas !!
